About this Course
Test-drive your new GIS power tools.
Geospatial artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming routine tasks and workflows, giving GIS professionals more time to focus on higher-level projects while enabling others to create and share location-based insights more easily than ever before. This course introduces the use of assistants in popular ArcGIS products to holistically connect and streamline common GIS workflows. Course exercises use a relatable real-world scenario, providing the essential practice that participants need to confidently start leveraging assistants in their day-to-day work.
Software
Esri will provide the following software to use during class:
- ArcGIS Online
- ArcGIS StoryMaps
- ArcGIS Survey123
Goals
- Understand Esri artificial intelligence policies; the difference between AI tools, assistants, and agents; and the importance of human validation.
- Apply the Item Details assistant to create robust metadata that supports transparency and governance.
- Configure a web map using the ArcGIS Arcade assistant and create a survey tailored to specific project and mobile workforce needs using the ArcGIS Survey123 assistant.
- Design an engaging ArcGIS StoryMaps story and quickly repurpose it for multiple audiences using the ArcGIS StoryMaps assistant.
Suggested Skills
Familiarity with GIS concepts and experience with ArcGIS Online, Map Viewer, ArcGIS Survey123, and ArcGIS StoryMaps are required.
