We are looking for a a proactive and results-driven Sales - Business Development Manager to lead the growth and expansion of GIS solutions within the transportation market in Belgium and Luxembourg. As a key member of our team, you will drive business development efforts, foster strong client relationships, and position our GIS solutions as the go-to choice for transportation companies looking to unlock and leverage the power of spatial data.
What does your day look like?
- Market Development & Sales Leadership: Take ownership of developing the GIS solutions market within the Transportation sector in Belgium and Luxembourg. Leverage your deep industry knowledge to identify new opportunities, generate leads, and close deals with transportation companies.
- Consultative Sales Approach: Act as a trusted advisor to potential and existing clients. Understand their specific business needs and challenges and provide tailored GIS solutions that help them achieve strategic goals, improve efficiency, and drive innovation.
- Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and nurture long-term relationships with transportation decision-makers, including GIS departments, IT managers, and C-level executives. Engage with clients through various touchpoints such as meetings, presentations, and strategy discussions to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Community Building & Networking: Create and manage a community of transportation professionals through engaging activities such as info-sessions, webinars, workshops, and strategy meetings. Actively expand your professional network, fostering relationships that support
- Thought Leadership & Market Insights: Share industry insights, trends, and best practices to inform and inspire clients. Position yourself as a thought leader in GIS solutions, showcasing how spatial data can drive cost savings, operational improvements, and new capabilities. The Transportation market can be defined as these organization that are active in Logistics (e.g., airports, ports, public transport, freight).
- Collaboration with International Teams: Work closely with Esri’s international transportation teams across Europe and the US. Exchange knowledge, support global initiatives, and ensure alignment in delivering world-class GIS solutions to clients.
What is your story?
- Proven Sales Experience: Strong track record in sales or business development, preferably within the technology, GIS, or Transportation sector.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the transportation sector, with the ability to connect business needs to GIS solutions effectively.
- Consultative Selling: Expertise in consultative sales, with the ability to build relationships, understand client challenges, and recommend appropriate solutions that align with business objectives.
- Strong Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage with senior executives and decision-makers. Proficiency in Dutch, French, and English is essential to effectively communicate across regions and client profiles.
- Results-Oriented: Proven ability to drive sales growth, meet or exceed targets, and manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.
- Collaboration Across Teams: Ability to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to deliver a cohesive sales strategy and exceptional service to clients.
- You have sufficient technical knowledge to be able to translate the needs within the sector in technological solutions.
